Call to Ex-Ning Developers

We’d like to hear your stories, and we’d like to help you in any way we can (if you need it, of course.) :)

Drop us a comment here, or send me a PM over on BuddyPress.org if you’d like to remain anonymous. I know there’s quite a few freelance BuddyPress developers out there, and maybe we can partner you up with someone to help you get started.

  1. Just FYI, the guys at WPMU.org are writing a plugin to export Ning users to BP:

  2. Maybe you should agree with wordpress.com to make available Buddy Press plugin on their servers so that people wont pay for hosting could have a Buddy Press social network like they have had till now on Ning.

    It’s a possible way?

thanks in advance for your reply

@Paul Hastings – They are asking $75 to download that import plugin. These are the same Ning users who are not willing to upgrade to a paid plan. Good luck with that.

In other news – here’s a free plugin that does exactly the same thing: http://bit.ly/b6MTuZ

  5. I run QueerToday.com (queertoday.ning.com ) I want to be able to import all my users’ blog posts. That does not seem possible yet. This is not as simple as I thought it would be, and I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed.
